Différence de deux matrices

On appelle différence de deux matrices \(\mathcal A\) et\( \mathcal B\) appartenant à \(\mathcal M_{n,p}=(\mathbf K)\) la matrice \(\mathcal A+(-\mathcal B)\). C'est un élément de \(\mathcal M_{n,p}=(\mathbf K)\) et on note \(\mathcal A+(-\mathcal B)=\mathcal A+-\mathcal B\).

Les propriétés suivantes, où les matrices qui interviennent sont éléments de \(\mathcal M_{n,p}=(\mathbf K)\), sont satisfaites :

Pour tout scalaire et toutes matrices \(\mathcal A\) et \(\mathcal B\), \(\alpha(\mathcal A-\mathcal B)=\alpha\mathcal A-\alpha\mathcal B\) .

Pour tous scalaires \(\alpha\) et \(\beta\) et pour toute matrice \(\mathcal A\), \((\alpha-\mathcal B)\mathcal A=\alpha\mathcal A-\mathcal B\mathcal A\).

La vérification (par le calcul) de ces propriétés est immédiate.
