Systèmes d'équations linéaires
Définition :
On appelle système de \(n\) équations linéaires à \(p\) inconnues \((x_{1},x_{2},...,x_{p})\) le système :

avec \(X_{p}\) et \(B_{n}\) deux matrices colonnes et \(A\) appelée matrice de transformation à \(n\) lignes et \(p\) colonnes.
Les coefficients \(a_{ij} \in \mathbb{K}\) (\(\mathbb{K} = \mathbb{R}\) ou \(\mathbb{C}\)) avec \(1 \leq i \leq n\) et \(1 \leq j \leq p\).
Les \(bj \in \mathbb{K}\) avec \(1 \leq i \leq n\) constituent le second membre de \((S)\).
Le système est dit homogène si \(bi = 0\) et non homogène si \(bi ^{1} 0\).
Les lignes sont numérotées par (\(\textrm{Li}\)).
Définition :
On appelle opérations élémentaires sur les lignes d'un système d'équations linéaires, les opérations suivantes :
Multiplication par un scalaire \(k \in \mathbb{K}^{*} : (\textrm{Li}) \leftarrow k (\textrm{Li})\)
Permutation de deux lignes : \((Li) \ll (Lj)\)
Addition à une ligne, d'un multiple d'une autre ligne : \((\textrm{Li}) \leftarrow (\textrm{Li}) + \lambda (\textrm{Lj})\qquad\lambda \in \mathbb{K}^{*}\)
Propriété : Toute opération élémentaire sur les lignes d'un système d'équations linéaires transforme ce dernier en un système équivalent ayant le même ensemble de solutions.
Définition :
On appelle système de Cramer un système de \(n\) équations à \(n\) inconnues avec \(|A| ^{1} 0\) (déterminant de la matrice carrée de transformation).

Méthode : Méthodes de résolution
Les systèmes linéaires rencontrés en Sciences Physiques étant pour la plupart de Cramer, nous présentons trois méthodes de résolution pour ces systèmes.
Système non homogène : \(A_{nn} X_{n} = B_{n}\)
1ère méthode : Règle de Cramer
Un système de Cramer admet une solution unique donnée par :

\(|A_{i}|\) étant le déterminant de la matrice \(A_{i}\) obtenu en remplaçant la ième colonne de \(A\) par la colonne des constantes \(b\).
Démonstration
Soit le système d'équations à 3 inconnues :

Résolution du système :

La matrice \(A\) du système est : \(A = \begin{pmatrix} 1 & 3 & 4 \\ 3 & 5 & -4 \\ 4 & 7 & -2 \end{pmatrix}\),
d'où \(|A| = \left| \begin{matrix} 1 & 3 & 4 \\ 3 & 5 &-4 \\ 4 & 7 & -2 \end{matrix} \right| = -8\) (Règle de Sarrus)
Le système est de Cramer et admet une solution unique :

2ème méthode : Inversion matricielle
Pour \(|A|~^{1}~0\), la matrice carrée \(A\) admet une matrice inverse \(A^{-1}\).
Le système sous la forme matricielle \(AX=B\) peut être pré-multiplié par \(A^{-1}\) afin d'obtenir la solution : \(AX = B \Rightarrow A^{-1} A X = A^{-1} B \Rightarrow \color{red} X = A^{-1}B\)
La détermination de \(X\) passe par le calcul de \(A^{-1} = \frac{~^{t} \textrm{com}(A)}{|A|}\)
Exemple
Résolution du système :
\(\left\{ \begin{array}{r c l} x + 3y + 4z & = & 50 \\ 3x + 5y - 4z & = & 2 \\ 4x + 7y - 2z & = & 31 \end{array}\right.\)
La matrice \(A\) du système étant \(A = \begin{pmatrix} 1 & 3 & 4 \\ 3 & 5 & -4 \\ 4 & 7 & -2 \end{pmatrix}\),
calculons \(A^{-1}\) par la formule \(A^{-1} = \frac{~^{t} \textrm{com}(A)}{|A|}\), sachant que \(|A| = -8\) et

3ème méthode : Pivot de Gauss
Etant donné le système d'équations linéaires :

La méthode du pivot de Gauss, consiste à l'aide des opérations élémentaires sur les lignes (\(\textrm{Li}\)), à se ramener à un système triangulaire (ou système échelonné) de la forme :

La dernière équation (\(\textrm{L'}_{n}\)) donne la valeur de \(x_{n}\), puis \(x_{n-1}\) dans (\(\textrm{L'}_{n-1}\)) après report de \(x_{n}\) dans cette ligne et ainsi de suite jusqu'à la valeur \(x_{1}\) dans (\(\textrm{L}_{1}\)).

Résolution du système :

Elimination de \(y\) dans (\(\textrm{L3}\))

d'où de \((\textrm{L}_{3}) : z = +8\)
puis de \((\textrm{L}_{2}) y = 37 - 4z = 5\)
et enfin de \((\textrm{L}_{1}) : x = 50 - 3y - 4z = 3\)
Les solutions de \((S)\) sont donc : \(x = 3\) ; \(y = 5\) ;\( z = 8\).
Système homogène : \(A_{nn} X_{n} = 0\)
Dans un système homogène, les seconds membres des équations sont nuls et le système s'écrit :

Si \(\color{red} |A|~A~^{1}~0\): le système admet la solution : \(\color{red} x_{1} = x_{2} = ... = x_{n} = 0\).
Exemple ( Système linéaire homogène ; Régle de Cramer )
Résolution du système homogène suivant :

Le système a pour déterminant :
\(|A| = \left| \begin{matrix} 1 & 1 & -2 \\ 4 & -1 & 2 \\ 2 & -6 & 3 \end{matrix}\right| = -3 + 4 +48 - 4 -12 +12 = 45\)
La règle de Cramer conduit à :

dans un système homogène : \(AX = 0~~(|A|~^{1}~0)\), la solution est unique.
Si \(\color{red} |A| = 0\): le système admet des solutions autres que la solution triviale précédente.
Exemple ( Système linéaire homogène ; Pivot de Gauss )
Résolution du système homogène suivant :

Le système a pour déterminant :
\(|A| = \left| \begin{matrix} 1 & 1 & 3 \\ -1 & -1 & 2 \\ 2 & 2 & 3 \end{matrix}\right| = -3 + 4 -6 - (-6) - 4 - (-3) = 0\)
Le déterminant étant nul, utilisons le pivot de Gauss pour trouver la solution :
